So this is the girl who made our hot chocolate this morning. She was super nice. She knows how to make the chocolate, but her boss won't let her. She just has to mix it into hot chocolate. So we were there drinking when the brass band marched in and started playing. It was magical. And loud.

Have you visited the local Wal-Mart yet? I just read something to the effect that Wal-Mart dominates Mexico for employment opportunities. There was a Moralists of the World Unite movement some time ago to try to keep them out of Oaxaca.
man, we only shop at walmart, of course! our house is actually from there. it´s made out of plastic. and it says "walmarto" on it. I like it. But oaxaca (city at least)is too touristy and picturesque to have a walmart in it. it makes me think of santa fe. i think a lot of people from there come here.
